Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 April 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of Passit ("the Service"), operated by Alia Mahgoub trading as Passit, based in Auckland, New Zealand. By using Passit, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Passit provides an AI-powered NCEA co-requisite practice simulator for New Zealand students. The Service includes practice questions, AI writing feedback, and study resources designed to help students prepare for the CAA assessments.

Passit is an independent preparation tool. We are not affiliated with NZQA, the Ministry of Education, or any New Zealand school.

2. Accounts and access

To access the full simulator, you must register with a valid email address and receive an access code. You are responsible for keeping your access code confidential. Access codes are for the registered individual only and may not be shared or transferred.

We reserve the right to revoke access if we believe an access code is being misused or shared.

3. Payments

The full access pack is available for a one-time payment of $29.99 NZD (intro price, subject to change). Payment is processed securely through Stripe. All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST where applicable.

Access is provided on a lifetime basis for the registered individual, meaning you retain access as long as the Service is operational.

4. Refunds

We offer a full refund within 7 days of purchase if you are not satisfied with the Service. To request a refund, email hello@passit.co.nz with your order details.

Refunds will not be issued after 7 days or after an access code has been used to unlock the full simulator on more than one device.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Intellectual property

All content on Passit — including practice questions, feedback text, and design — is owned by Passit unless otherwise stated. Our questions are original works created from published NZQA achievement criteria. The NZQA achievement criteria themselves are Crown Copyright.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any Passit content without written permission.

7. AI-generated content

Passit uses AI (Anthropic Claude) to generate hints and mark writing responses. AI feedback is intended as a guide only and may not perfectly reflect NZQA marking standards. We do not guarantee that AI feedback accurately predicts your CAA results.

8. Accuracy of content

We make every effort to ensure our practice questions accurately reflect the published NZQA achievement criteria. However, actual CAA questions are not released by NZQA and Passit questions are not official NZQA content. We do not guarantee that practising with Passit will result in achieving the co-requisite.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Passit is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to failure to achieve the co-requisite assessment.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

10. Changes to the Service

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We will give reasonable notice of any significant changes that affect existing paid users.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

12. Contact
